So, I've been using this on the side of SMBX for a while, back when Mario Builder was all the rage and I must say it is great. It is like SMBX:
1. You can play others games.
2. Make your own.
3. Edit enemies, physics etc.
4. Endless amounts of everything SMB1 ONLY
5. Extremely easy to use.

This also has some interesting ideas that have been made in this engine. Some may be good to implement in PGE.
Anyway, try it out, you've got nothing to lose except for 3.2MB of hard drive space.

I prefer SMBX. It's more powerful. And when PGE reaches the full release, it'll be even more powerful.
Do you want fries with that?

Well, I've never actually made any Bowser levels, so I don't know. I assume it can't be overly hard to do. I'll try and make one later. If it works, I'll post the tutorial for you and anyone else.

As do I, but this is a cool alternative, it is very simple and functional. It's a good program to use if you're only just learning t use level editors, especially Mario ones.

To make a Bowser battle, you just click on any castle level in the level list and change the level ending to a battle. Simple! ;-)

How do you actually start up the editor? I extracted everything that was in the download, but I can't find any exes or something. I tried to click on the Classic Game.mario, but it doesn't seem to launch. In fact it says that the file has a unknown file format so it can't be opened. Am I missing something here?

You need to open the jar file.

I did, I extracted all the stuff from that archive and it still doesn't work. Not sure why an archive would have a jar file format though.

You have to open the .jar file with Java.
