I've got a Trojan virus

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure where it's come from or how long it's been on my PC, but I can't seem to get rid of it in any easy way. I've tried System Restore and getting my Security program to hit it, but there's been no luck with that unfortunately. If anyone knows of a sure fire way to kill a Trojan virus please let me know so I can sort it out. If's there's any way of getting rid of it without having to pay money that would be nice, otherwise I'll just call my Tech guy to do a call out.

The Trojan's specific name is "Trojan:Win32/Varpes.F!plock". I don't know if that will help much but anyway.

I'm running Win 7 Home Premium, with MS Security Essentials and Windows Firewall.

I'm also running a full scan now too see if I can get any more info on the virus itself, which I'll post once the scan has completed.

You can try out the Kaspersky resque disk: burn it into any CD/DVD blank disk and boot from it, then you can cure your system "from a side". It's free and you can download it here: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/rescuedisk
That a most safe way to cure damaged system because while it is running, virus will protect itself

Alright, I think I have some empty CDs still lying around so I'll try that and hopefully get rid of it. The MS Security scan that I ran detected 6 threats, 5 of which appeared to be the same Trojan just under different names:
Win32/Qadars.A
Win32/Lopocs.C!plock
Win32/Qadars!rfn
Win32/Dynamer!ac
Win32/Skeeyah.A!rfn

Then there was also one called "Exploit":
SWF/Axepergle.D

I have also just "cleaned" my computer with MS Security's option to remove the virus fully, but I'll still grab Kasperspy just to be safe.

Oh awesome, I didn't realize Malwarebytes had a free version, I'll grab that now and use it since I can't burn anything to disc like Kasperspy. I keep getting some error at the end of the burn sequence and nothing gets burned to the disc. I'll look into that later after I take out this virus.

You can try to burn that on another computer, because those dumb viruses are can directly damage any burning to disk data and hurt process itself

I had a feeling that may have been the case. The virus was also causing Microsoft Desktop Manager to "stop working" briefly, every so often and then prevented me from sending the report details to Microsoft. Malwarebytes appears to have done the trick though, it got rid of a few PUPs that I didn't know about as well, so I'd say it's back to business as usual now.
