[Story] Gadget the Gearoid

Here's my idea for the new engine's main character.

Gadget (Replaces Mario)
Gadget is a small robot known as a Gearoid. He is one of the last Gearoids left in Momentropolis ( a world set inside a massive clock-like machine). Many of the Gearoids have disappeared, ever since the Uchuujin showed. Gadget and his friends must enter each portal in Momentropolis and save the Gearoids from the hands of the evil Uchuujin.

Sprocket (Replaces Luigi)
Sprocket is a friend Gadget found about to be melted down by the Uchuujin. He has small power modules that allow him to jump higher than the others, though this has lowered his traction and will cause him to skid further than Gadget when stopping suddenly.

Mech (Replaces Toad)
Mech has the ability to move the fastest thanks to his high-tech Gold-Gear Wheels, he can also use a pressurized cannister to perform a double-jump, though his normal jumps are much smaller than anyone else.

Corein (Replaces Peach) (Pronounced Kor Rin)
The only female Gearoid in the group has the ability to float over gaps using a special hover jet. She is the slowest of all.

Uchuujin (Main Villian) (Name means space-alien in Japanese)
Uchuujin are strange machines that resemble UFOs. It seems that they want the Golden Gears that keep Momentropolis running smoothly. The main Uchuujin is known as Galaxstar and has sent all of his Uchuujin minions to conquer Momentropolis and steal the Golden Gears.

Super Mushroom: Silver Gear - Allows the Gearoids one extra hit.
Fire Flower: Red Gear - Allows the Gearoids to throw fireballs from their built-in turrets.
Ice Flower: Blue Gear - Allows the Gearoids to Ice Matter from their built-in turrets.
Super Leaf: Rocket - Allows the Gearoids to fly once they gather enough speed and then glide back down.
Tanooki Suit: Silver Rocket - Allows the Gearoids the same ability as the Rocket, however they can then also turn into an Obsidian Gear which makes them invincible for a small amount of time.
Hammer Suit: Plasma Ball - Allows the Gearoids to throw massive Plasma Balls, which defeat any enemies they touch on contact.
Coins: Yellow Gears
Stars: Golden Gears
1-Up: Spare Parts Crate
Bomb: TNT

I think, we can include as "Default game/episode" some different games, for more interest.

all your characters with different characteristics. if one person can go through obstacles - the other will not work because it's slow or weak jumping. for 2 players it is not convenient. but a good idea !

Haha for some reason, whenever I imagine enemies that look like UFOs, I always think of the enemies from Kirby:

That's cool, actually the Uchuujin look remarkably similar to those Kirby UFOs, if you have my CGFX Pack you can find them in the SMB3 enemies section.

Veudekato: While you're pretty much correct, try not to backseat moderate. I'm sure you're aware that it is the Staff's responsibility to handle such issues.

Clearly gives off the impression like you're someone responsible for correcting or warning people. Please don't, it's more annoying than useful.

EDIT: I'd like to add that I'm saying this in general over what I've seen recently, and not just over this particular post. The Staff team is responsible for enforcing the rules, not you.
