No what needs to happen is the variable editor needs to be used for level properties only and there needs to be a way of creating variable in script. this is one of the worst things about 38A

I was actually going to write up a npc setting suggestion for 38a but if you want it to be accepted you probably should write up what npc's has what properties
if this was added it would be nice but it would be better characters could be customized to the point of being from different games instead of just being reskins. it would also need to be an option so we can toggle it off if we don't want it
I do agree it looks cool but it would have to be an option because I want smb3 physics to be an option too and in smb3 you can't change your duck state while in the air.
I agree there should be backwards compatibility but having their exact behaviors from other games would aslo be nice. it would provide the ability to recreate the original games or have your game use the original physics
