You don't need to download WGet from here as there are source codes tarballs. The pre-built WGet is pre-included with "PGE-Updater-For-SMBX-2.0.zip" archive that is referred here in main post.

You can use PGE's GIFs2PNG converter which you can apply to your graphics before to open your level in SMBX-38A. The algorithm of front+mask merge in GIFs2PNG is much more accurate and it had three reworks to get the current state.

It's PGE-specific way, PGE has no hardcoded media except of logos, splashes and embedded icons. All those names are using from lua code that points those graphics to use them in PGE Engine. I downloaded it but its not a zip file it is a 7zfile. Does anyone know how i can use this? Try downloading UnZipper. It can open 7-zip files. Windows 7-Zip is much better, to be honest. Don't even get me started on why you should get WinRAR either. It can't open 7Z files and it constantly asks you...
