This post is about Template:About, not to be confused with Template:Item.

When to use

This is a notice similar to a disambiguation, and as such should be used in similar situations. However, this notice should be used when the confusion only concerns two items, while disambiguation-notices concerns two or more items.

How to use

{{about}} - The page name, or a short concise description of its contents.

{{item}} - The other page, which the current subject shouldn't be confused with. Use the internal linking formation ( [[Pagename]] ).
