Story
The official story of Super Mario Eternal Chaos, as seen in it's original topic on the NSMBX Forums.
"After falling into a mysterious hole, Mario/Luigi finds himself in an old, abandoned, ancient temple, the Temple of Eternal Chaos. He is stuck there for eternity. There are doors all around the temple, inside each door is a different realm."
Playable Characters
By accessing Super Mario Eternal Chaos' files, it is seen that only Mario or Luigi are selected as playable characters for this episode. It is possible to use the other available characters, but only by changing the parameters of which characters are blocked.
It should be noted however, that this episode appears to be able to be completed using all playable characters apart from Link.
Bosses
Although there aren't many Bosses used within this game, three of the five major Bosses are completely custom and have not been seen before or since the release of Super Mario Eternal Chaos. The Bosses can be found below in no particular order of appearance. Keeping with the usual fashion however, Bowser is seen as the game's final Boss.
Updates
The last update made to Super Mario Eternal Chaos, notably named the "Green Star Update" included a list of some of the Easter Eggs found throughout the game, as well as an extra number of Green Stars to find and collect. Each level included one Green Star each, and served as an added bonus/side quest to the game's main objective.
Trivia
Super Mario Eternal Chaos is filled with many Easter Eggs for the player to find both in game and via the Level Editor. Two examples of Easter Eggs that can be only seen via the Level Editor include:
- Section 4 of Glorious Grasslands has a Toad which "Tells the truth".
- Section 17 of Harbour Havoc has a Toad with a message and a large "17" made out of the crates found throughout the level.
Some of these Easter Eggs were made purely for those who would closely examine levels via the Editor as many are unreachable in game, whether they be in a completely different and un-connected section or are just unreachable full stop. Most of these unreachable Easter Eggs have a Toad somewhere in said section which either has a smart remark to make or is simply relaying a message left by Elbow or Ace.
