World of Chaos





About the Project


World of Chaos is a massive SMBX project that I've been working on for quite a long time. At first, it was initially planned to be an 8 World game,
save the princess, done. However, this project has grown even larger to the point of 45 confirmed Worlds, each with at least levels. This project will rely heavily on the turnbased platforming that Mario is best known for, as well as a few explorative courses that you will be able to access within hub worlds,
and fine Power Stars.


This game does have a story in development, but there are not enough levels finished in order to introduce a direct plotline. Though, I do know that Daisy and Rosalina will both be kidnapped by Bowser, only for the main villain to unveil himself in World Bowser.

There are a bunch of different levels in the game, as well as a World Map, which is nowhere near to being finished. This is that list of worlds.

Demo 1 is out, and is made to give you a bit of a look at the gameplay! Though, Demo 1 contains a crash if you enter the first Warp Pipe in Mega Pixel Island due to Peach Castle not being there.

I have no screenshots with me at the moment, but I will return when I have some. I know that this probably too massive of a game, but I want to at least try to push the limits of the 1.4.4 Level Editor. Have a nice day, everyone!

You are pushing it too far with 450 levels , it will take you years to complete if you want every level to be good and with so many levels you will lose interest on working on that massive project of yours. I'll recommend you to make every world with at least 5-6 levels so you can have roughly 225-270 levels. You don't have to follow my advice but keep it in mind that this needs a lot of dedication to the point of insanity unless your levels will be bland, boring and bad.
Anyways good luck on your project because you really need it.

Thanks, mate. But I'm already set with the project. I've grown pretty happy with each plans I have for each level. 450 is the max level count, and I'm excited to try to even get there. A few years, most likely. But I'm not a person known to ever really give up. I hold a lot of dedication with this, and each world will affect the storyline in some way.

I am going to agree with Er7, and say that this project is too ambitious. I do not think that even a whole year is enough time to even complete 25%. Even if you did, no one will have enough time and patience to complete all of those levels. It is better if you were to shorten the amount of content. Remeber, quality > quantity.

While I'm aware that this is true, I'm taking my time with this project. I know that this will take at least 2-5 years, but I'm alright with this.

Besides; I don't plan to have everyone beat the Any% way by clearing all.of the worlds. If anything, 12-20 worlds are mandatory. The other worlds are meant for the sense of imagination, or play style.

I don't expect everyone to remain patient with the Any%, but as I believe I mentioned before, this is a test to how far I am able to push the editor to its limits, and really set how far I can go with a full length storyline.
