I remember on the older versions of SMBX I used to be able to play with my PS3/PS4 controller. Now when I try to setup the controls on 1.4.3 with the Xbox 360 controller, the controls won't map on the screen. Is the ability to play with a controller gone, are Xbox controllers not compatible with SMBX 1.4.3, or am I just doing something wrong? Please help! I really don't like to play SMBX with a keyboard.

1) it doesn't supports XInput (SDL2 library supports it, therefore PGE Engine can use XBox controllers)
2) You posted into wrong thread. That place for reporting/asking against PGE components (Editor, Engine, Character Calibrator, GIFs2PNG, PNG2GIFs, LazyFixTool, MusicPlayer, Maintainer, etc.). Therefore I'll move your thread into RIGHT place.
3) Some related info found here: viewtopic.php?p=8315#p8315

Try going to your config.cfg file and change EnableJoystickforP1=True. That might fix your problem.
(Sorry for late reply BTW.)
