
There's one curious question I can't seem to figure out: is multiple world files in a singular episode possible? I've looked it up with not very promising results. I tried testing on my own with level directories but only lvlx show up with that, obviously. If anyone can answer this, I would greatly appreciate it!

SMBX2 does NOT allows multiple world map files, it will display only one per directory as I know. I allowed multiple world map files for TheXTech engine that is different project. But world map files will be displayed as different episodes in the menu. Additionally I have the world map's data directory support where is possible to place all world map specific resources. I guess the only way to allow multiple world map files (in the future) in the same episode is making a separate episode info file that will be read by engine first and world map files will be ignored and not shown in the menu, but it will be possible to open different world maps in the scope of the same episode. Additionally, the gamesave format will need to be extended to allow meta-data like shown/hidden scenery/paths/levels being assigned per world map file, not just for the single world map file (where the world map considered being combined episode info and the world map file role). | ||
