I thought that since properties of a BGO like grid size and stuff could be changed on a per-level basis that the "smbx64-sort-priority" property could be changed this way as well. I was surprised when I found that this is not the case. Just think of how useful that would be! In PGE, we can change the sort-priority manually, but it resets and must be changed again on every save. If this property could be changed in the bgo-txts, it would only need to be set once, and it would stay the same for the whole level.

Just because I'm curious, though, which config properties of BGOs can be changed in a bgo-txt file? I know that "grid" can be changed.

Sort priority parameters are remembering by LVLX file format. You can keep lvlx for editing but save lvl when you want export level for SMBX. That can be changed by background.txt, but this will not work until ill apply a small fix.
