Background not showing correctly?

So i encountered this thing when i used the Maridia background from Super Metroid. In Smbx it shows it normally. In Platgenwohl if you stretch it to the top like in smbx it will look normal. But when you raise it highter it stops which doesn't happen in smbx.

I also tried to test some animating backgrounds in PlatGEnWohl, but they weren't animating at all, while in SMBX they were. Dunno why that happens, through.

You replaced the single-row background which is repeating, only horizontally.

SMBX has three types of background repeats:
single-row, double-row, and tiled

This is a double-row repeat

This background is using two different images: first image is a bottom, and second - clouds.
*-row backgrounds must be repeat only horizontally

This is a SINGLE-row repeat:

In this background using only one image and it repeats only horizontally
In game this background will be moved relative to the section height.

But in the editor you will see filled top side by left-top pixel's color for *-row backgrounds.

And tiled repeat:

Image repeats AND horizontally AND vertically.

Some single-row BG's can repeat in the editor

this - is a single-row background, but in the lvl_bkgrd.ini file you will found flag "tiled-in-editor"

Also, single-row backgrounds can be attached or into the bottom (usually)
and also into the top:

(this BG is static vertically, I.e. if your section will too high, in the SMBX you will see artifacts in the bottom of the section)

You can force switch tiling mode of background while you exporting the section into the image. [use the "Tiled background" flag and these backgrounds will be fixed].
