before game engine, we should make editor ... well, before we not make a engine...
if you want to test your level : save edited in platgenwohl level. in smbx press F5 and 'NO' (http://wohlsoft.ru/docs/_sources/devel/Cont ... html#How_to_run_test_with_SMBX)

the first should be visualization (graphics output) . later easy npc as goomba. i think

See the engine part's development steps:
1) graphics rendering (OpenGL)
2) defining separated screens [menu, title logo, cut-scene's screen, world scene, level scene, credits scene, etc]
3) Opening levels and worlds filed by engine part.
4) creating interprocess communication with editor for sending level data into the engine without using the files on the disk
5) basic physics with blocks and playable character without NPC's
6) Creating Parametric NPC's without algorithm scripts
7) Algorithmic NPC's which will use algorithm scripts
8) Event system

I never set any "deadlines", because I wanna create the engine part to be stable and have quality. The work for the engine part can take ~half or whole year. But I will always publish any alpha-tests for checking the current state of development.
