How are the graphic designs decided?

Small question: How do you decide what everything is going to look like? Do you get your fans to come up with designs and choose the best ones or something?

At first I will experiment an engine on old sprites, and then something I will invent the new.
If who expresses desire to help or offer the best idea, I with pleasure will listen to it and I will use their graphics if he make it.
That concerning GUI, I will consider all bugs, and I will make the new.

ID probably just use the most generic graphics possible.

graphics may be different. I suggest fighting or ninjas :mrgreen: . there are many options. I understand that the NPC in the engine will be like in Mario but with different graphics?

On the first time yes, but then I plan to create opportunity most to program algorithms of NPC at the expense of scripts (On an example, in Hedgewars it is possible to use LUA scripts for creation of missions). But, for the user NPC new numbers (currently in SMBX 292 of standard NPC which I should program) will be allocated

P.S. You can make new sprites and episodes with SMBX now, and I will include new GFX/Music/sounds in my engine. I already know a case of use of SMBX not as game about Mario: he used as an engine for creation of own game.

I create absolutely new engine, it will have at first possibilities of old SMBX. I have a desire in the future to cooperate with the LunaDLL developers that it was possible to integrate possibilities of LunaDLL into an engine.
