Joey's hoster has troubles with hardware and he got issues with everything because he wasn't did daily backups himself (his hoster can give backups per 10 days)

Oh, ok. So I guess joey doesn't exactly own the whole server?

Well it's gotten even worse, the chat doesn't work now. I'll probably come here.

That hasn't been working since I got home about 4 hours ago. I figured the server was down like last time. The forums should be back up within the next 24 hours though, as per usual. However, depending on what damage this issue done internally, there may be a few things that might need to be fixed. As Joey would say though, just sit tight while this gets straightened out. :)

I hope that this is going to get fixed...
If it's not going to be fixed, we can move to these forums I guess. ;-)

http://www.supermariobrosx.org/ is now a 404 error, in certain areas like the forum or chat. It's dead. I think Nintendo has had a little to do with it this time, with the new 2.0 being announced. But, that's just a guess. :/

I doubt that. The site is still alive, so hopefully it will be fixed.

It's seriously... looks like Joey reinstalled Apache and wasn't configured it.
Unfortunately same happen on irc.stardustfields.net - looks everything is destroyed :blum:
...just for a joke - my backup of smbx-org except forums: http://wohlsoft.ru/supermariobrosx/ :download:
And, vanilia build of smbx 1.3.0.1 stored here: http://wohlsoft.ru/docs/SMBX_1.3.0.1/
However people would repost their episodes here their self

you reinstall and don't reconfigure... who does that? That's like reinstalling your OS and not completing the first setup :aggressive:
Well I'm sure it will be back, I hope.

Yeah, but what part is alive? Even the chat is still down.

Now Joey's server is finally shuted down...
Are someone know Joey's external contacts (such as email, skype, etc.)? :SOS:

Added after 22 minutes 7 seconds:
I think, history is repeats:
http://wohlsoft.ru/pgewiki/History_of_SMBX#Trouble_on_the_forums

So, to avoid this shit in next time, Joey should setup everyday backup script, and we are will have a data copy which would be installed to any other server if main server would be destroyed

Unfortunately, I stand by my idea, the project had to completely abandon the name of smbx, and totally change identity. The mistake was to call SMBX 2.0.
I agree to rename it, just as has happened with PGE !.

Yeah, they should've called it something different.

Anyways update: smbx.org is completely shut down now. Back to the old :letter:

In SMBX IRC yesterday Joey said that he's waiting for a response from his server provider to fix the problem. Maybe that's why it's still down. Anyway I doubt that it was Nintendo's work, but hey, everything is possible.
Wohlstand wrote:Are someone know Joey's external contacts (such as email, skype, etc.)?
I do have Joey's skype account in my contact list, but like he never gets online! I'd like to know what will happen to the web-site in the future though.

It wasn't deleted, all posts that were made in that topic are all here. I merged both topics into one because I thought that it was unnecessary to have two topics discussing the same thing.

So nothing will load now. It just gives a "can't load" page.

I honestly hope it isn't gone for good, because that will be a major pain.

EDIT:
It's starting to revert to the way it was previously. At least we know that it's still being worked on. The forums and wiki are the only things that are down.
