I will explain then the most detailed possible:

Step 1.He explained already,you can understand.He nammed it's AllSoulCoins,but you can name whatever you want.Everytime you see Allsoulcoins in scripts,replace by your variable name.
Step 2.This one he didn't explained very well,it's on the LEVEL OF THE SHOP you must do it.A event that calls a script.Make that script run when you are going to buy the mushroom.(Talking to the shop owner,checking the mushroom in a table...)
Step 3A.This one is for the mushroom to appear over the player when he buy and use now.Cahnge the "1" on the first line and the one-to-last to the price of the stuff you want,and "9" with the NPC ID to appear over mario.(9 means mushroom)
Step 3B.This is if the item is add to your inventory.Create a event that makes the mushroom go to your inventory using WI.Add.Again,change the 1's on the Script to the price you want and in the Call Tcreate part,inside the parentesis,replace the EventA to the event with the WI.add name.
Step 4A,B,C=I already said about it so skip them.
Step 5=Make any event trigger this script in ALL LEVELS THAT HAVE COINS(You can use other stuff as currency,such as Dragon coins) in all your currency(Coins,Dragon Coins,whatever you chose),put a death event that calls this event.
Get it now?

Step 2. TC maybe didn't explain it very well, the level you must make is the shop or other no enemy level. An event that triggers the script, the script will run when you're going to buy a Mushroom. (For example, talking to the owner and then checking Mushroom on a table)

Step 5. Make any event as it triggers this script in the level(s) that have coins(such as Dragon Coins and/or Star Coins) in all your currency(E.G. coins/Dragon Coins/Star Coin/etc). After that, put a death event that triggers this event.

Oh.Sorry then.I didn't knew about it...I'm not very good when it comes to explaining stuff...I'm very shy so I don't go well with words...Also,as you might have already noticed,I do not speak english very well...Some words are wrong,I know...I will do best next time....also some things you did aren't exactly what I tried to mean,such as

Nothing is hard there if you have basic teascript knowledge , you can change the currency , what things can be buyed , how are they gonna be called in the shop and other stuff.
