Within the own project folder (like D:\SMBX\worlds\Example Project Folder) the modder could setup his own music for the Mega Mushroom and the Starman by adding the files
Code: Select all
(filenames would be absolute)
within the mentioned directory. These music files would play while having one of these items (you can not have both at the same time as you might know) for one of the players at least. This would not be required to work for map folders.
After the powerup looses its power, the "powerup music" stops playing and RETURNS to the music which is supposed to play in the section the player is currently in.
If the player collects a starman while still having a starman powerup, the music just keeps playing instead of starting over from the beginning again. Same for the mega mushroom.
Code: Select all
The starman (NPC-293) and the MegaMushroom (NPC-331) would need a special command for the npc text files.
15.0 seconds could be the default value (if not otherwise stated by the modder) for both the mega mushroom and the starman. This is the time of effect before the player looses the super powerup. Instead of the text file "duration" could also be stated in the window "Advanced NPC Settings" for the starman and mega mushroom powerups.
Sound effects - custom directory
Instead of being "forced" to use mainly the default sound effects the modder should be able to use custom sound files. This could work by adding a sound file into the world directory like (D:\SMBX\worlds\Example Project Folder) with a name already existing in the sounds directory of the official game files (like dragon-coin.mp3).
