Can you please make a system variable to desactivate shell dash?

When I make custom power-ups, I always use the Shell Power-up as a template since it's the most similar to the Mushroom status. However, disabling shell dash isn't easy since I have to limit the player when it's on the floor, detect whetever it's in a slope or not, detecting the angle or the slope (through arrays and filtering IDs), check the facing direction of the player, and finally limiting the player speed to "disabling" it. This parameters also changes depending the character, which makes the things even harder. Even after this long procedure, if the player gained a boost in the floor, he will still be able to transform into a shell and dash. If a system variable could be implemented to completely disabling this, I'd really appreciate it!
