my ideas for 1.4.4

1. allow the ability to change the origin of sprites (so the smw small mario wont sink into the ground)
2. make the default editor into PGE , but make it so when you test, it runs in smbx mode , not pge mode
3. add lots of new npcs (without the need of scripts) : chuck , spike , fire snake , the other 6 koopalings and everything else people suggested
4. new default characters (wario , megaman , kirby? , yoshi's island yoshi , samus )
5. allow all characters to ride yoshi
6. allow an option for episodes that makes the camera angle more similar to smb1 , smb2 , smb3 , smw , smm
7. since it is early on , make the graphics 16*16 instead of 32*32 thus halving the file size , just scale the sprites to the proper size (it will break levels , so allow graphics to be converted)
8.allow gfx expansion on world map tiles and scenery
9.cape feather
10. Better world maps, i want world maps to have a complete overhaul, with layers & events, the ability to have npc battles, permenent switch palaces, more tiles, more scenery, instant warps, curvy paths, cool changes to the map when you beat levels (like the rizing hill in yoshis island 1, and the Ludwig castle) climbing and swimming animations , maybe even a section selection(so you can resize maps, and not get confused about where you put your world 15)
11. A tutorial vid that teaches how to scrpit in smbx
12. Allow 1.4 maps and levels to be shared on supermariobrosx.org
13.Make the time limit a thing that isn't script-exclusive

Here's my opinion:


1. Um..yeah,I got that case. I used 2.0's SMW Mario and it sinks to the ground. I almost don't get it with that.
2. How?
3. That's a lot,in my opinion. The script is kinda average useful.
4. With their abilities?Cool.
5. I don't think so,what's the use of riding Yoshi?And imagine,Yoshi riding on another Yoshi.
6. Like the Advance versions?
7. I don't think so. And,I don't get it with the word "break the level".
8. That's a nice idea. :p
9. I like flying with Cape Feather.
10. We already have Layers,Events and NPC Battles(that is Hammer Bro). Permanent switch..(what's the point?) and more tiles will be a good idea. More scenery,you can do it by yourself by creating a new GFX. Instant warps?Um.. you can do the warping by coordinate it. We already have a curvy paths. I prefer that you need to say SMW styled next time. Climbing and swimming animations is a good additional. Section selection will break the world map. And,yes. I always wanted to resize maps.

I don't think it's necessary to add in the Cape Feather since we already have the Leaf.
And for the SMW Mario, just use Valtteri's SMW playables.

Cape Feather can hover for a illimited amount of time.I also don't think SMW Mario should enter too,as it's gonna be the same thing as mario.

I think SMBX 1.4.4 should have some changes for characters:

* Luigi should have the ability to jump higher like in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
* Mega Mushroom should be available for all playable characters.
* Ground pound should be available for all playable characters.

I don't like this one because that means different physics than 1.3, unless if the different physics are in a checkbox

Luigi should jump more higher like he did in The Lost Levels.
The Cape Feather is a very good idea!
And I don't think that SMBX 1.4 is supported in SMBX.org

Luigi alredy jumps high.They should lower it's traction only.

With the same logic, 5438A38A would probably never add the Giant/Micro Mushrooms too, but he did add these power-up. Now, it's probably more difficult to recreate how the player fly with the feather and the "pow" effect when hitting the floor, and it can even be considered to be useless when we have already the Leaf in SMBX, but you know how people love to have more choice and option.
I would prefer the Super Acorn and his glide and cling abilities.

3.ok , how about something called "blank npcs" these npcs would be unprogrammed , thus you need scripts,custom gfx , and sounds , but you can make them act like other npcs with some differances , so it would allow variations of other npcs , i think blank npcs would be easy to program , the amount blank npcs would be 10 or 15

6. sorry , like the snes versions , the screen is 256 pixels by 240 pixels (i mean if the graphics get changed to 16x16 otherwise the screen size would be 512 by 480)
7.5438A38A could add a way to convert gfx and lvl and wld and txt files to match the dimensions of 1:1 pixels , but all at once , otherwise it would be tedious

10. i mean stuff like curved path movement , custom world map gui , permanent switch palaces ,climbing and swimming , and of course , the camera move feature (you could use areas to limit where the camera goes)

12. by finding a compromise with the smbx forum owners , like-" all 1.4 episodes and levels and gfx can't leave the 1.4 section " if the 1.4 section was on the front page , 1.4 would get waaay more recognition and support
13. what about 16:9 a widescreen feature? of course , it would have to be an option , otherwise any levels that are less than 1 and a half screens wide would be broken
