My suggestions for tools

I got some ideas that could greatily improve the usage of tools, making them more comfortable to use and flexible. :)

NOTE: The gif images shown in this theard were made to make a recreation of my suggestions. Some of these gif are edited so they aren't very accurely as I would like

1.) Self-selecting tool: When the tool it's on "Select" more and the hand didn't grab anything, if you keep pressing the click and you made a movement of the cursor highter than 64x64 pixels (aka 4 blocks)a then the hand will automatically change to square-selecting tool (the same with the eraser). Here's a example gif I made (please note while and the gif the click was pressed).

2.) When nothing was selected, then don't ask if I want continue. Here's an example, I will copy literally nothing, but the game will ask if I'm sure I want copy nothing (this applies for the "copy" and the "flips" tools).

3.) After copy something, I'd like the tool of "paste" self-change, and if I didn't grab anything then I'd like the tool turn back into "Select" mode.

4.) Easy way to diselect tools: While you have select any tool, for example, the "copy" tool, if you make a right click then this tool will turn back to the "Select" tool. Here's an example:

5.) In the moment you select the "Eraser", these tools shouldn't be available to select:

My suggestion is, when the eraser is selected, change these icons to gray silhouettes (like in the world map) and make these buttoms unavailable.

6.) Special keys support. I'd LOVE if these combinations of keys was implemented in the game:
  • Ctrl + C: To copy objects (of course, this combination of keys only would work when there's something selected). If my first suggestion is accepeted, this combitation of keys would be very helpful!
  • Ctrl + V: To paste objects. This combination of keys can work in any moment (unlike the "Ctrl + C"). When this combination of keys is pressed, then whatever you've copy recently will paste in the current position of the cursor. Of course, the pasted items will be selected so you can move them to your liking.
  • Ctrl + Z: To undo the previous action.
  • Ctrl + X: Cut.
  • Supr: To delete the selected objects.

Also if these key combinations are implemented in the game, I would like to suggest don't add pop-up windows like "Are you sure?".

7.) Talking about the pop-up windows, I'd like to suggest these pop-up windows don't appear anymore, in my personal opinion they are unnecesary and a bit annoying. :)

"Are you sure?"

This windows appear after copy, flip or paste something. In my opinion this windows is innecesary. It's very unprobably you make a mistake copying/pasting/fliping something, and in any case you did, if the "Ctrl + Z" is accepted it would save you from your mistake. And anyway if copied/pasted/flipped something wrong, what's the worst thing that could happen?

"Copied successfully" & "pasted successfully"

These pop-up windows are unnecesary too. In all the programs who support the copy&paste feature, they don't make pop-up windows because it's unnecesary, in my opinion remove these pop windows would make everything more comfortable and faster.

Those are the only pop-up windows (that in my opinion) should be removed. To copy&paste a single block you have four pop-up windows, which aren't really needed.

8.) There's a little error that don't let you use the rectangular-selecting tools when the "Overlap" mode is actived.

9.) I'd love the possibility to modify the icons of ALL the tools. In the graphics' folder, maybe there can be a folder called "resources" with these icons, so that you can modify them to your liking. However this is a minor suggestion.

10.) No sound&music tool suggestion. Willhart recently suggested an option to disable the sounds of the game, which lead me to suggest this tool:

This tool would fit perfectly in below the last tool. ;)

11.) By last, I think these tools should be removed:

The camera-tool it's not very helpful. You can already make the section bigger through Level settings, and I've ask and nobody seems to use this tool. That's why in my opinion it should be removed.

The + tool seems useless (maybe it's broken?) no matter what I do, it won't do anything.

The circle tool, it's an interesting tool to fill things but it's not very helpful, we already have the retangle-fill tool, the fill tool and the line-fill tool, then why would need a circle tool too? no one filles the tilesets through circles, they do using the others tools.

Why I think it's an adventage remove these tools? because a tool less, makes the game looks more organized and polished, it would save some confusions for newer users also these tools don't have a big utility like the other ones. Though, it's just a totally personal opinion.

The + tool is to place the triangle position like this.

But what does the triangle do?

I see that the triangle places the 0 position of X and Y. (It doesn't affect at all your coordinates level, because the triangle comes back in this place when you test your level.)

See the image, and after read this text below to read what is my response and what I think for the utility for this/these tool.

Red rectangle tools : That should be delete, nobody use it.

Green rectangle tools : Should be replace by... when you use the rectangle selection tool (The selected objets will glowing), you can Right-Click to open the contextual menu, and select Copy. If you click on Paste, the copying fonction will be the same as actuel (You see a blue rectangle with the size of what you copy) It will be better than two icons on surplus on the editing menu.

And for the grill option, what's the point to add two similar option like, one is on the editing menu and another is in Editors Settings, and this option show the coordinate and... a triangle (I don't know the utility so...). Why you add a surplus option and is the same as a amother, just one option grill is enough...

Blue rectangle tools : (Thanks for your response Lx Xzit) That will be interesting if that was a contextual menu or improved the icons like Lx Xzit show...

I'm agree with LuigiCraft7777, these tools should be deleted, but why?
I have always thought that when adding new features, they should be added strategically and ask these questions: Are they necessary? Are they really useful? Are people going to use it? I think none of these three tools are really useful and necessary (I mean, who would want to fill blocks in circles? :P).

Doing a cleaning of tools, it would be much more comfortable and easy to handle the editor for the user. It would also give more space and polish its visual aspect. Right now these tools makes the editor tab looks a bit clutterfunk and confusing in my opinion.

The point of these tools is diselect some specific tiles when you're selecting things. For example, if you want copy a part of the level but only the blocks and not the backgrounds, this tool is very useful. In my opinion, the main problem with this tool is that the icons in fact don't tell me what does they do, it's hard to guess what it's the function, I'd suggest make the icons more understandeable (like PGE do) for example:
