What is the exact duration of the Mega Mushroom?

I don't know what is the real Mega Mushroom duration, I know the Starman is 12.3 seconds but I'm not sure about the Mega Mushroom. =P
Can someone tell me please?

According to the map "Super Mario 2D World"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZWrsOEsVak) it might be: ... uh 15 seconds as it seems. Maybe a little bit less, but thanks to the author I do know about the 12,3 seconds for the starman.

BTW: The Mega Mushroom effect does NOT get paused during the pause screen (I already reported it actually). So, if somebody plays your map and pauses the game for a quick visit on the toilet, he will feel deceived if he returns to resume, once he sees, the effect has already worn off.

Anyway! Great maps! Also good for learning and Reverse Engineering.
Well: Since you already seem to be on the top (in terms of design) you can only hope to get a reply by the main developer of 1.4.1, as like as I did once (only). I would not try to PM him, either he replies by himself or he won`t for several possible reasons.

Too many things are just not documented yet (not even the gameplay manual has been updated with the new items for example), I miss a lot of scripts and help on how to use them, since the script manual is not enough for people like me, I need more examples! But there are NONE to find, since nobody hasn`t used these features yet, as it seems...

and here I am just wanting to add the 'World 1-1' label as string for my mario land adventure >_> ... )
Also no idea how to do that ...

I wouldn't like to PM to 5438A38A, I can't imagine how busy he's right now and I'm almost sure a lot of people is currently making questions / reporting bugs or giving their suggestions, I will try to PM to him if it's really neccesary :)

Well, there's a script tutorial in the SMBX 1.4.1's files so you could check it (if you haven't done but I guess you already did :P) but I think it isn't enough. However we still can get some help with Tea VB's scripts in external places like Internet (but it seems a very confusing for me...)

Exactly what I think.

In case you want to use the starman in further maps, I have one small suggestion for you:
Take for example NPC-239 + effect-124 as empty graphics, I did set up NPC-239 as like as following:

grabtop=0
grabside=0
playerblock=0
nogravity=0

It looks a little bit more "natural" IMHO instead of getting both a coin and a star from the same block, since the block has to "produce" something in order to turn into a used block.

Anyway: Let us just hope for further updates. ^^

Thank you for the suggestion, I tried it and it's perfect. I will use this trick in my next levels (I'm thinking to do something similar to SM2DW soon... huhu I already have the graphics).
BTW I asked to Catskar yesterday and he replied that it's impossible make a print a text with scripts like in LunaLua / LunaLua, however we still can replace the text with a BGO with text and get it sticked in the upper part of screen using special layers (I asked more details about how to do, I'm waiting for his reply). ^^

No problem.

Would be kind of nice. Looks like you do know the right people. This should work as well I think, since the resolution of SMBX is fixed and static text won`t change within a map anyway (I hope I am not wrong in this case).

What is the used font for "Timer"? Since I have no idea how to find the 'texture' for it, I was looking around found something called "Kongtext-regular" on http://www.ffonts.net/ (it is supposed to be free), it looks quite resembling.

The "Timer" font I think it's a SMW one. Well, I took the letters and numbers from the hard coded graphics of SMBX 1.3, here you can download them if you want:

Sorry for the long time on reply. No, I didn't get a solution, however I found a way to simulate a custom HUB with the video editor, (at least I will be able to use it on my videos =P)
And glad you've got what you wanted. BTW the duration of the Mega-mushroom is between 15.2 and 15.3 second (I hope this date be helpful for someone...)

faking HUD in videos is not very helpful for me xD
