I have seen that my previous post was not a bug for the developer. So I will show through two gifs more what happens to Peach and Toad when they use the powerup shell and they don't behave like Mario and Luigi do. (I've tested again to Link and it works well).

Do you even know how shells work in SMB2? They don't change direction when hitting a wall.

The shell isn't a powerup in SMB2. Besides, in the gifs you see the annoying thing about breaking blocks for toad and peach with shell's powerup, not to mention the fact that they cross the floors and get bugged.

I meant shells as in the item. I know there's no shell power up in SMB2. There IS a shell item though, and it disappears when it hits a wall.

So, you mean the developer did it for peach and toad intentionally, based on what you say about SMB2? Ok, so, I think, they should behave at least like Link. He breaks the blocks continuously and doesn't have that bug problem.

Ok, I don't understand why it isn't a bug... Peach and Toad don't break the blocks continuosly and, if they re-enter their shell to break the blocks for the second time as it is in the gif, they cross the ground and it is impossible to get them out of there.
