Hello! I am WaterSpirit, I'm new. I'm kind of a shy guy, but by now you can probably tell I like anime, I also love programming and making things with computers. I'm pretty much the computer repairman of the neighborhood

Programming languages I like are: php, python, ruby, brainfuck (WTF???) and some perl.

I am a robust linux user as well. Anyways, I've been looking for an alternative to SMBX forums because honestly I dont like the way they behave. Its too full of immaturity and I dont think I would enjoy being there. I like this place more soooo.. See you all i guess
I love anime! かわいい〜〜

I understand that the SMBX-forum is sometimes a bit messy with everything.
But anyway, have a nice stay here ;-)!

Yes, I agree. Brainfuck is one of the best programming languages! :D
But it has very long codes, for example simple hello world has about 100 chars.

Anyway, welcome to the forums! Have a nice stay here and have fun!
Poof!

But it shorter than assembly language :D
Try for x86 DOS which simple and try on Win32/Win64 and Linux x86 and later Linux x64 and also Linux ARM, will be a lot of code. Brainfuck wins with syntax, good and simole turing machine :good:

Hello WaterSpirit. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I also program, but I'm still a level 5 starter Pokémon. So you can expect from me love for high and mid-high level languages, such as Python, Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, and C#. I find Perl a bit annoying since it's annoyingly less flexible than Python. (@var, $var...). Brainf**k manages to be even lower-level than assembly, because you're locked to memory manipulation (you're even locked from program-processor interaction).

I also use Linux-based OSes, but rarely. I actually use Windows a lot more since it has a bigger game library. :gamer: .
A problem I spot on Linux distros is that doing things that are a piece-of-cake in Windows (such as downloading programs) become hard, needing to go on the Unix Terminal (a single typo and you fail). So, unless you grow up using Linux, you'll miss Windows.
Do you want fries with that?

Unlike Windows (before Windows 10), you can simple copy-paste in them (Ctrl+Insert, Shift+Insert which was old standard of copy-pasting hot keys before Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V). Unlike Windows, installing of same program can be faster (just a simple type of "apt-get install opera" or "yum install opera" or "pacman install opera", etc...).
