Sorry, I was a bit busy and I already planned to include that BAT file into archive + suggestion inside readme to try to use that BAT file if you don't want to toggle standards mode
| ||
Interesting! however it did not work for me. When I open SMBX using my default country region I got a "Runtime-error 5". I tried to open your bat file (without administrator rights) and it says "REG isn't knowed as a internal/external command" and SMBX runs automatically (but I get "Runtime-error 5"). When I try to open this as admin everything is succesful and I don't get any error, but in the end of the process SMBX doesn't open. However I like this idea, hope you guys can fix these problems!
Yes! this error is in SMBX 1.3, however you need put the slopes invisible for get this work. Yeah the springboard animation is wrong. :P BTW I do have a question about PGE, Will you "conserve" some errors of SMBX? for example, if you put a SMB3 chargeable block as a "friedly", this will be like a "block" only for NPCs, I think it's very helpful for make some tricks!
Errors which are really annoying will NOT be ported into PGE's core, but trick which you noticed is NOT a bug, but I think, any NPC's should ignore all other unfriendly NPC's which are friendly. Most of gameplay/physics things are getting from SMBX 1.3 just to keep compatibility with episodes made on it, but don't forget that all preferences of physics are modifiable by INI file from config pack.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed yet, but FLUDD actually has all three modes like in Super Mario Sunshine. Just select FLUDD and go to the Advanced options, there you'll find the Turbo and Rocket modes. I have to admit, the physics to each are fairly accurate and they seem oddly familiar to that of those featured in the Super Mario Sunshine 64 flash game by Runouw.

My default config is: "Español (Colombia)" When I try to run it as admin, some messages appears quickly on my screen. I took a screenshot and I noticed in the end of message appears: "C:\Windows\system32\C:\SMBX 1.4.1 1>smbx.exe C:\SMBX" isn't know as internal/external command, program or batch file." And then, the region come back to my default config. Windows 8.1 (64-bits) EDIT: I discovered something about the hidden fuctions:
| ||
It's normal, there is the same effect for me as admin. Maybe your computer don't allow you to edit Windows registries ? When the command REG is locked. I'll try to found a solution to you.
Also while on the topic of the FLUDD pack, try Turbo FLUDD with Frog Mario. I've never seen anyone being able to pick up any sort of decent speed with that suit, but adding Turbo FLUDD sure is hillarious. I'd suggest a flat level with no obstacles if you want to try it out. Beware however, if you run into walls you'll either rebound off them almost like a Koopa Shell momentarily or you will get stuck inside the block you hit.

Are you saying that FLUDD is in SMBX 1.4.1????? Current Projects: (Infinite Mario Bros: 0.16%)
(Super-Project Completion: 0.001% Complete. pls don't ask about it) Youtube Status: MIA
It should be under Misc, but ehh. I'll rather wait until either 1.4.1 gets stable and less bugged through Wohlstand, or SMB Xtended is released with FLUDD inside. I'm patient like that. I can wait.

Hey DarkMecha, I found a solution for you !
It don't replace the smbx.bat but it will be very nice for you. http://www.mediafire.com/download/1g25i5m6jaez7g4 ... ple who can't run smbx bat.bat So, this .bat don't start smbx, but, It change automatically your pc region in Chine, so you can run smbx. if you press a key, your computer come back in your region. It isn't friendlier than the original smbx.bat, but It's friendlier than do it manually.
|
Thanks! well I can run SMBX 1.4.1 normally since the first day, so I'm not worried :P This works fine and it's much better that do it manually.
I'd like to make a re-pack including your bat file for people who can't run SMBX, is this okay with you? I know this will be helpful!
*** i posted an earlier issue and it was fixed **
if you jump on a red SMW koopa, when his shellless form slides out, it will not slide off a cliff. IDK if that was in the SMBX 1.3.0.1, but I figured it also was worth mentioning.
I rewrote the first post to make it easily readable now. Also added the 'feature' list for curious and updated some links.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't sliding in original SMBX 1.3.0.1 as well, actually. If Wohlstand and the team will be able to get the source code of SMBX 1.4.1 then they could do something about it, as well as fix some bugs that exist in this version. <Knux> h2643 the super computer

I used Cheat Engine's stringreader on SMBX 1.4.1
There's a sudoku game and maze game apparently in addition to the math one. Just my luck. EggToken is a string with DisableHiddenFunctions. The strings near it may be the "right answer" to it's = in the config file to unlock more features. Way better to try than the unlock-games. With the NPC codes is these new ones which may or may not work. activetimer disableintertia roundhitbox directivegfx brightness sethitbox itemdrop scripts #cust# #tsset# You know how you can do special eventfunctions like "Add.PenguinSuit"? There's loads more. I suspect they may be a minigame reward. "blueyoshiiscool" = ? May be related to EggToken
So I got this to work, and right now I'm starting on the first ever SMBX 1.4.1 GFX pack. I find it annoying how all the new SMW enemies use SMA2 palletes. I will fix that.
| ||
I'm working on the Mega Mario effect now and maybe the others eventually too. I'll upload those when they're done as well as my Custom Fire Chomp sprite.
Needs to be updatedAlright so I love this concept but due to have no way to install 7 - 8 direct x this is 100% useless on Vista and higher.
| ||
It works on higher (Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10), but not on Vista itself (that everything showing that Windows Vista is true shit of all times).
