This is a small announcement about recent forum rules change. As you may know, invalid emails used by some users (became invalid during a time, or used a kind of disposeable emails) often causes server side errors: any attmpet to delivery notifications to invalid mailbox results an error report to the staff. In order to address this issue, forum rules gets been extended:
FORUM REGISTRATION.
- NEW! You are required to use a valid and existing email address to prevent further problems descripbed here.
- NEW! Use of disposable emails is not recommended, otherwise this may lead to account deactivation to prevent further mail delivery server-side errors.
- NEW! Once you lose your mailbox after account creation, you are required to change it as fast as possible to prevent the loss of access to the account. See details here.
- Once you have registered an account on this forum, your first post will be pre-moderated to avoid spam.
- It's recommended (but is not required) to make an introduction of yourself in this section as your first post.
As new rules says, if cerain users' email was found being invalid, depending on how much they are active, the different action will be taken:
- Active user will be notified via Private Messages about the invalid email, so, they can change it easy without problems.
- Inactive user account (that wasn't logged it for many months or even years, including the fact they lost access for various reasons including the loss of email that makes password reset impossible by user) will be deactivated with leaving a note about invalid email. So, once these users want to get their account back, they should contact one of administrator (including me) in order to resolve the problem.
