I was looking at the new PlayerGFX API and it looks pretty awesome. A feature that should be added is a way to overlay a player with a certain color. This could be used to add a lighting effect to players in darker levels without all the extra load time. Usually, you'd have to load multiple 1000 x 1000 images and this makes levels take AGES to load. It could also be used for a flashing effect for a Starman (which I may or may not be working on right now ;-) ).

Don't feel like I'm just complaining. I'm REALLY looking forward to adding powerups without replacing existing ones. I just had a couple of suggestions.
