How does the rep system work?

Obviously it's not like smbx's rep system. You can't down rep/uprep anyone. So how does it work?

Here rep system is based per each post:
Users are clicking to + "like" or - "dislike" to any post (-...+ bar in left-top about avatar) which and after they are adds or removes reputation value for than post owner.
loyalty - how much + or - you gave to forum posts. If you will set too many '-', you will have negative loyalty.

Oh, so that's how the Loyalty thing works. I figured out the Red System myself, but I never could understand how the Loyalty rating worked. To be honest, this seems like a much better Rep System than the one on SMBX.ORG.
