Well, I have Nintendo Wii and every wii remote has bluetooth. I enable bluetooth in my laptop, press 1 and 2 on the remote (or the sinc button) and then it finds it and pair with it. I open the program named "GlovePIE" and there I set up the controls. Also you can use the wii's motion controls to perform different actions that buttons and mouse can do if you set it up properly ( I shake the remote to spin jump in SMBX like in NSMBWII ). I can also use the nunchuck and the classic controller.

For me I only use the keyboard. I don't know if it's possible the use any other controller than keyboard.

Mostly I use keyboard, but also I use XBox Series controller on PC, initially for development and testing, and also now just for playing games too. I do also have some cheap gamepad that uses Dragonrise chip, and Nintendo Switch Pro.

My brother is an ardent adept of the keyboard and mouse. He completely refuses to play via controllers, and totally don't like consoles because of their limitations, preferring PC, keyboard and the mouse to play games.
