I agree that there should be an option to import PGE tilesets, but i dont find 38-A Tilesets editor hard, its simple and easy, you just have to get used to it.

Since the update we knew about that function but I didn't see anyone get it working (not even myself). I think if you make a tutorial would be really appreciated!
