Re: Make npc occasionally stop walking forward and look left and right

You can use the variable NPC( id ).facing to set the direction this NPC is facing, and NPC( id ).Xsp and NPC( id ).Ysp to set its horizontal and vertical speed. You can try the following : letting him walk a few steps, set its horizontal and vertical speed to 0, toggle its facing direction between l...

[Solved] Temporarily freeze the screen

I'm wondering whether it is possible to temporarily freeze any movement on screen (Player, NPC, layer movement) as well as their animation, then turn it back to normal. I'm willing to create things like an inventory (like in Zelda games), custom text boxes (as the font used for messages in SMBX does...

Re: TeaScript Index

You can now use new parameters with Char(id):
Char(id).bombcnt: if you're playing as Link, this is your bomb count.
Char(id).keycnt: if you're playing as Link, this is your key count.
Char(id).fluddcap: if you're using FLUDD, this is how much water you have left.

Suggestion about Mushrooms and Zelda Hearts

I've got a minor suggestion about Mushrooms: When you are playing as Link, all Super Mushrooms already placed in the level when you start will automatically be turned into Zelda Hearts (those added by manual edition during the test won't be transformed though). The level before testing: http://i64.t...

New variables, more SFX's & change NPC parameters via TScript

I know I've not been publishing for a long time, but ATM I have a lot of exams and school stuff... Anyway, I've come with a small list of suggestions... There we go: 1 — More variables I didn't successfully contact 38A about it (I swear I tried, but I couldn't use Tencent on my PC, and the mobile ap...

Use sysval(Score) for the score — it is a writable variable, meaning you can change the value of it.

Re: Auto-run event for player's death

However, would be nice have the auto-run event "Player - Death" aside from "Level - End". That's what I think too, 'cause even though it is possible —right now— to execute some actions after the player's death, it's pretty tricky however to make them run only after the player's ...

@Super Mario Player I uses Lx Xzit's from the post at 7 Jul 2016, 20:12 Try to use the built-in SMB3 Power-up system (Since the release of SMBX 1.4.3, it is now possible to set the power-up system to SMB3 via Events -> Others -> Special Events, then scroll down to find the SMB3 power-up system)

So in fact, what you want to do is change the transparency of the background, right? Maybe you'll have to do something like Catskart's warp transition script.

This script is full of errors. The variable for player 1's brightness is Char(1).Brightness. Replace every occurrence of 'brightness of[light]' by 'Char(1).Brightness'. The command for 'Wait 1 second' is 'call sleep(65)' (here I put 65 because the wait delay is given in frames, and there are normall...
