Re: (SMBX 1.4.3) Bug-report: A missing frame while layers change [SOLVED]

Not sure if this occurs in the other versions of 1.4, but in 1.4.2, the Mega Mushroom gets stuck in corners. Because it bounces every so often, if it does so, within the space of 1 block from a wall, it bounces up, hits the wall, and falls back to the same place it began to bounce, however, instead ...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for future versions of PGE

One last thing...why add glitches? smh I have two reasons why: 1. Glitches can be exploited to create some pretty unique gimmicks and interactions. 2. There are a decent amount of levels that already exist which use and exploit the use of glitches. If not carried over, playing these levels in a &qu...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for future versions of PGE

Well, most games do have easy achievements like that early on, usually known as Level 1 achievements. They're easily obtained, and are basically only there to entice the player to discover more. Also, no they don't all have to be defeated in the single walkthrough, basically that would run off of an...

Re: [character] Upelyssýnka (Rus. Апелиси́нка) - an orange-like fox

I love the character in general, it looks so damn cute. As for her two forms, they have been done before in games, a few of which I've played, and it does create an environment where you have to act much more cautiously and think about what you are doing, basically like a puzzle game. Essentially wh...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for future versions of PGE

I know I mentioned the idea of having medals or achievements of some sort built into the game so that you can create your own for players to pick up, like SMBDX's Scrapbook or Kirby Triple Deluxe's Medals etc, but to touch on that subject again, with a visual I made recently. I'm open to any ideas a...

Re: smbx forum is down.

That hasn't been working since I got home about 4 hours ago. I figured the server was down like last time. The forums should be back up within the next 24 hours though, as per usual. However, depending on what damage this issue done internally, there may be a few things that might need to be fixed. ...

Re: SMBX 1.4.1 Math Minigame - Help Unlock the Hidden Feature! (Prize Offered)

I'm not even going to bother with the minigame simply because Maths and I just don't get along too well. I'll add to the bounty however. Whosoever cracks this tough nut will gain full access to my GFX Pack each and every day of the week. Soon to be fully online where updates can occur in real-time, ...

Re: Crushing the Player

As for the Crushing algorithm, I'd probably suggest taking a look at the whole noblockcollision cheat or the God Mode cheat. If you get crushed while in God Mode you simply get spat out at the next available spot with no blocks. Maybe there is something there that may help, or even the noblockcollis...

Re: SMBX-38A - Discussion Thread and Downloads

So I got this to work, and right now I'm starting on the first ever SMBX 1.4.1 GFX pack. I find it annoying how all the new SMW enemies use SMA2 palletes. I will fix that. I'm working on the Mega Mario effect now and maybe the others eventually too. I'll upload those when they're done as well as my...

Re: Changing Hardcoded GFX in SMBX - Tutorial

This topic is pretty old now so I think updating it would be a good idea. I'll look up your tutorial on SMBX.org and update the top post, unless you'd prefer to post it yourself, in which case I'll archive this topic.

Re: I've got a Trojan virus

I had a feeling that may have been the case. The virus was also causing Microsoft Desktop Manager to "stop working" briefly, every so often and then prevented me from sending the report details to Microsoft. Malwarebytes appears to have done the trick though, it got rid of a few PUPs that ...

Re: I've got a Trojan virus

Oh awesome, I didn't realize Malwarebytes had a free version, I'll grab that now and use it since I can't burn anything to disc like Kasperspy. I keep getting some error at the end of the burn sequence and nothing gets burned to the disc. I'll look into that later after I take out this virus. :)

Re: I've got a Trojan virus

Alright, I think I have some empty CDs still lying around so I'll try that and hopefully get rid of it. The MS Security scan that I ran detected 6 threats, 5 of which appeared to be the same Trojan just under different names: Win32/Qadars.A Win32/Lopocs.C!plock Win32/Qadars!rfn Win32/Dynamer!ac Win3...

I've got a Trojan virus

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure where it's come from or how long it's been on my PC, but I can't seem to get rid of it in any easy way. I've tried System Restore and getting my Security program to hit it, but there's been no luck with that unfortunately. If anyone knows of a sure fire way to kill a Troja...

Re: SMBX-38A - Discussion Thread and Downloads

Also while on the topic of the FLUDD pack, try Turbo FLUDD with Frog Mario. I've never seen anyone being able to pick up any sort of decent speed with that suit, but adding Turbo FLUDD sure is hillarious. I'd suggest a flat level with no obstacles if you want to try it out. Beware however, if you ru...

Re: SMBX-38A - Discussion Thread and Downloads

Not sure if anyone else has noticed yet, but FLUDD actually has all three modes like in Super Mario Sunshine. Just select FLUDD and go to the Advanced options, there you'll find the Turbo and Rocket modes. I have to admit, the physics to each are fairly accurate and they seem oddly familiar to that ...

Re: SMBX-38A - Discussion Thread and Downloads

Hi. So, me and a friend (Arckali) are made a little program .bat to run SMBX for non-chinese PCs. You must put smbx.bat in the SMBX folder, when you run it, it changes the region in chinese and start SMBX. If you close it, your pc comes back in your region. Re: SMBX-38A - Discussion Thread and Downloads

If I change to Chinese standards and formats, will it screw anything up? Like, change to the Chinese calendar or something? It won't screw anything up as such, it merely changes the date and a few other minor things to the Chinese format. It won't change the language you use on your PC to Chinese o...
