If you replace the p-balloon with the fairy, it won't work for two characters, only for one depending which graphic you chose (unless you use the powah of Scripts). If this is well executed would be interesting and a good trick for your project. Do it.

Those are cool ideas, I like them. Some levels of the episode Mario Classic already executed these ideas, but would be interesting recreate it in the newer versions of SMBX.

But... why is this considered a bug? when the player become statue it should not receive any kind of damage by part of the NPCs.

Press for to reset the game. Delete the Star Coins you've put it your level and replace them with ones without advanced settings (IDN).
