If smbx 1.4.5 doesn't allow arrays nor a way to editing player's offsets, it's just not worth it. As the tittle said, all bitmaps won't draw (no matter their z position) while playing. You can check this by yourself by just going at Examples > Beginner > Bitmap

This looks really good! I'll give it a try when I can.
Even though I haven't played it, I agree this episode to be set by default in newer SMBX 38A versions. We really needed an episode like The Invasion 2.

You can't force most of the npcs to move like if they were layers, but you can set their movement pattern through scripts. You also can't modify vines to make them non-climbable

Right click the block and set the frames back to 4. It happens because I made a little mistake making the patch.
