Re: Hi!

Well, I don't think it's that difficult to understand Wohlstand or Veudekato. Also, in Russian there are no words that mean "a" or "the" so sometimes it is probably difficult to express posession or direct objects. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Actually, StraightFlame, I've been working on the English translation so far, but I'd appreciate any help you can give!

Haha for some reason, whenever I imagine enemies that look like UFOs, I always think of the enemies from Kirby:

Re: Some physics formulas for later

So maybe when we create the engine, instead of having Mario's jump speed decrease over time, we can have a constant jumpspeed, which does not change, but a variable vertical speed which decreases by a global "Gravity" constant over time. So, when Mario jumps, set his VSpeed = JumpSpeed, th...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for future versions of PGE

I think special gravity would be a great addition to the engine! Also, having dangerous areas like water that hurts you, but slowly, after a specific time. Another idea I have is to add custom scripting of actions and events, such as having the player automatically move to a specific place without p...

Re: Some physics formulas for later

Thanks! I will begin analyzing this right away! Ok, since SMBX used physics from SMB3 (or very close at least), here is a rundown of the physics calculations from SMB3. Note that that all times are per-frame, or 60 times a second, meaning that our engine should probably update the physics 60 times e...

Some physics formulas for later

I know it's a little early for this, but I have estimated some formulas for Mario's physics that we can use when we start making the main game engine. These formulas are only rough guesses, but I will be analyzing the physics more closely soon, so these formulas may change. Mario's Jump Velocity (Ve...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions for future versions of PGE

A feature that I think would be really nice is the ability to place water or quicksand or sizable block by clicking the top-left corner of where you want it to be placed, and then click the bottom-right corner of where it will be placed, and that will determine the size of the block/water, which wil...

Editor still crashes after "INI not loaded" warning message [Fixed]

This is a small issue, but when the INI config files are not loaded, the error message box appears, but instead of simply stopping the loading of a level, it continues to try and load the level without the configs loaded, causing a crash. Could this be fixed so that if configs are not loaded, it won...
