I think, you really must try the latest version (not included into 2.0, in official PGE page, even in PGE Laboratory, but, put EXEs and DLLs inside downloaded zip into the SAME place where are was old in SMBX 2.0's folders, don't remove any files) of it, now it has a choice between classic and mode...
