Some questions regarding PGE!

I have some more questions, Wohlstand! :)

1. Are the slopes finally fixed in the latest version of PGE?

2. Is it possible that PGE, at its current stable state, can be used properly without SMBX?

3. When will scoring be implemented?

Re: Development news thread (Editor 0.3.1.15, Engine 0.3.1-alpha)

PGE Editor 0.3.1.11 and PGE Engine 0.2.6-alpha This is a big update for the PGE Project, which contains a reorganizing of the config pack management system and lot of other bug fixes. Configure tools in the config packs like "SMBX Integration" now are working with JavaScript, which allows...

This bug is a little annoying to me!

I've recently went on GitHub and noticed the 'Issues' tab. I clicked it and I saw this:

https://github.com/Wohlhabend-Networks/PGE-Project/issues/127

This bug can get a little annoying.

Re: [BUG] More than 2 fireballs at the same time!

The engine is still not finished. There is still a long way until the engine is complete. The engine still needs a lot of work until the physics, NPC AI, and everything works as it should and Wohlstand needs time to implement all of that. It is better to report bugs of the editor since it is more c...

[BUG] More than 2 fireballs at the same time!

In Mario games, when you shoot fireballs from a Fire Flower, only 2 should be active at the same time, once one goes away by defeating an enemy, hitting a wall, or staying active for 2-3 seconds, only then can you shoot another fireball!

Re: Will PGE become a standalone application in the future?

SMBX Integration pack SMBX Integration means you NEED to have SMBX engine with it's content, because "SMBX Integration" has no own images/sounds/musics, and it has configure tool which will look for SMBX directory and will modify main.ini, music.ini and sounds.ini to point stuff to select...

Wohlstand wrote:Point counter wasn't completely implemented yet, sorry, but I near to implement that, so, wait next update ;-)
I also need to allow right-aligned text printing which needed for point/coin counters, and for many other things too
Okay, then! When do you think the next update will be out?

[BUG] Killing enemies and collecting coins don't give you points!

I'm trying to contribute to this project as much as I can! :D

I've found what I think is a bug! Whenever you defeat an enemy or collect a coin, you don't receive any points! The number shows up when you collect a coin from a '?' block, but I actually get nothing from it!

[BUG] I downloaded the SMBX 1.3 config pack, then I patched it...

Okay, so I downloaded the latest dev build of PGE! When I went to install the SMBX 1.3 config pack, the game had a "Legacy Configuration Package" error. I downloaded the patch and replaced the old files with the new ones, and now, whenever I try to launch the PGE Editor, it'll start, but I...

Cool! I should see if it works when I get back!

I'll put the PGE folder by itself and run the engine! I'm not sure if everything will work correctly, though!

Re: Will PGE become a standalone application in the future?

Yes, PGE is an entire engine. When PGE is done you can make highly customizable configuration packs for your own games. So... does this mean that, once it's finally complete, I can download JUST the PGE Editor and PGE Engine and the SMBX Integration pack, and play Mario solely within PGE? I won't n...

Will PGE become a standalone application in the future?

I've been wondering, since PGE has an editor where you can create and edit levels, worlds, and episodes, and an engine where you can play them, if PGE will ever become a standalone application! :)

Is it possible to disable the debugging keys?

When I test a level using the PGE Engine, pressing the 'X' key shoots fireballs, even if you don't have a Fire Flower! Also, the numbered keys change your character and what power-up he/she has! Can I disable this?
