Depends on how the bumper is coded. In SMBX2 it's just a configurable flag that's enabled by default for the blue NPCs. Player collision is another enablable flag, so we also have bumpers that only NPCs can interact with.

There is no option in Super Mario Maker 2 to have bumpers interact with NPCs. The idea originated from SMBX2 and the blue bumper and small bumper sprites were drawn by me. Just clearing that up.

I made the SMBX2 sumo bros so I know quite a bit about these boys. Most of what Lx Xzit said is correct, however... the Sumo Bro actually moves at the same speed when airborne or grounded. It just moves in 2 steps of approximately 14 pixels, followed by a little shuffle to make up for the remaining ...

Any official changelogs? Or are people expected to double-check every feature with every daily patch to find differences between two largely identical versions, when it would take the developer 5 minutes to make a list of bullet points? 38a is fixing everything we report at "Bug Report" s...

Typos and all that stuff aside... don't you think instead of copying Mario Maker you should improve upon what it did? Like the 10 level limit, I don't really see much of a point in having that, especially since 3 episodes is potentially 100 times as much. The moderator system also is kind of a backw...
