Jokes aside it's cancelled as I long since moved on from SMBX.

SUPER MARIO 2D LAND- Err, I meanNEO LAND(since this is heavily inspired by 3d land but not exact remake of the levels..) is a work-in-progress smbx project created by me and is only worked on by me. This project aims to re-create my own rendition of Super Mario 3D Land SMBX Style with a never before done 3D Land style world map. If you're wandering why this project isn't called "Super Mario 2D Land", it's because it's my rendition of the game put into SMBX.

This project was gonna have 8 worlds with 5 levels each with the first 2 worlds only having 4 levels, just like 3D Land. It is also possible to make this project have 8 more worlds making it 16 worlds in total just like 3D Land itself featuring mostly remixed levels.

Hey,You already did everything up to world 3?Nice.It's hard to see episodes that are already made this far.Most people give up in 1-2 world.Also,one thing I recommend you is not having too much free space without bckgrnds,such as your 3rd screenshoot.Maybe some torches,idk.I'm not good at that,too.So don't worry about it so much.Good Luck!

Hey , i like your concept and your world map but i see some problems:
Your levels are bland on spots without details in the tilesets(not the bgos).
Your screenshots of your levels can be better showing some NEW stuff like your world map does.
And on the second screenshot you have too much bgos.
Thats what i can tell you to improve with the information you have stated.

Yeah, I do this on my free time cause Im so busy, I try too add detail to ground more and not just one tile like smw grass does.I also try to mimick 3d land too much sometimes and make the level design a bit bland, I'll try to fix that :bye:

I'm surprised you have working on your episode very fast to World 3 (or I don't know which world you've done). I gotta say these are very nice, but you might gonna tweak and fix up the level.

Wish you have a good time working on your project. And it's going to be awesome when I play your episode tbh. :allokay:

Thanks a lot, it really means a lot to me :cry: I could of at least gotten to the end if world 4 if I haven't been on hiatus because of school'n stuff, I try to re-edit the levels over again and try to make it better :yes:

I've played your demo and it has gud and bad sides.
The gud are that i like your concept/idea and your world map , your levels are somehow gud with using their idea but now comes the problem ...
I dont see details ... Like i see that you try to make something unique but if it doesnt have details it wont stand out. Try to expand your tileset , remake some parts of levels that are bland , try to make the levels more unique , the level with the switches was confusing for me because i didnt know if hitting the switches was neccesary and the boss battles dissapointed me , you could have done better.
Well i wish you alot of gud luck because i liked your demo.

Total understand what your coming from, and I agree with everything you just wrote, and I thank you for that :yes:
I'll go back and detail Tileset more and boss will get difficult later on. I made the first two worlds easy and short. Starting world 3 I slowly added more difficulty and longer levels.
I'm always open for circistism so plz tell me what you think and I do my best to fix things up.
Also I do this in my free time cuz I'm a busy and I have a habit of rushing sometimes and I kinda lost my creativity on level design due to still being affected of all my other failed projects being deleted. I practically made over a 100 all together in my lifetime ( with my first project being like 8 levels long and 9 worlds (made it up to world 6 before it got deleted ) and I feel like all my creative level designin skills...GONE..
Basically I'm rusty and I'm trying to recover my skills back but also do something different that no one ever's done before.. but that's really hard.
Sorry if my level design stinks is what I'm trying to say and I need alot of improvement :good:
