How to install configuration package (OS X)

The installation process of configuration package is simple and easy.

After download you have the one archive file which have included subdirectory.

Inside this subdirectory you will found set of *.INI files which defining settings and game items and data directory with configuration package media: Graphics, Music, Sounds.

Variants of configuration packages:

Full - have everything in one archive.
Integration - A special lightweight variant of config pack which usually has INI settings and scripts only and has no graphics and musics. Therefore to work with it, Editor will request you to configure it: you must point the folder with a content which required to work with it.

Note: Until to start installing of config pack you must copy the "PGE Project" folder from a DMG into your "Applications" folder. Then, you must to try to run the Editor with no matter any possible errors are will be occouped while starting (it will automatically create the "Data directory" symbolic link).

How to install:

1) First of all, download the config pack by clicking to the "Download" link:


2) Then, find the Data directory and then find the "configs" directory inside it.



3) When config pack zip archive will be downloaded it may be automatically unpacked (usually Safari does that), simply drag and drop it into the "configs" folder inside of your "Data Directory".


4) When config pack will be moved into the "configs" directory, it will be shown in the PGE.

(If you wasn't ran editor in a first time and you want to start using of installed configuration package when you already have pre-installed, change a current configuration package in the
[Tools -> Global configuration -> Switch configuration...] menu.

You also can check "Ask every startup" to select config pack on each startup of editor).



Check configuration status

You can check correctnessof installation of configuration pack in the
[Tools -> Global configuration -> Current configuration status...]

Status tab, is a list of successfully loaded or failed media files



Directories tab is a list of media paths:


Where Level data - is a path to the "blocks", "background", "background2", "npc", "effect" folders
Where World map data - is a path to the "tile", "scene", "path", "level", "player" folders
Where Characters folder - is a path to sprites of your playable characters (each character have own folder for sprites, for example, "demo", "iris", "kood", "raocow", etc.)


Errors tab - list of errors which appeared while configuration is load.
